Worship

  • Worship is held on Thursday nights at 6:30pm after dinner which starts around 5:30pm. Worship, led by Pastor Tedd Cogar and weekly visiting pastors, combines traditional Lutheran liturgy and hymns with contemporary worship music as well as folk/gospel style worship. Music directed by Doug Longwill with the assistance of the worship band. The band includes Ben Bugaile on piano, Lisa Vatavuk on lead guitar, Henry Main on bass, and Doug on drums.

  • Faith Moore

    Faith Moore is a senior at IUP. Her major is middle level math education. She is a hard working student who maintains a 4.0 GPA. She is involved in several clubs on campus, including being a member of the Golden Key Honor Society. She has been with the Lutheran Campus Center for two years. In the past, she has been actively involved with her church from her home town, including being a Sunday school teacher and going on mission trips. She is excited to be a part of the Lutheran Campus Center and to help out however she can.

  • Ann Marie Schweitzer, Office Administrator

    Meet The Lutheran Campus Center’s new Ministry Office Administrator, Ann Marie Schweitzer. Born in Indiana, Ann Marie considers IUP her home. She is an alumnus having graduated with a BS in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship, ran Cross Country and Track, and has continued her education here with graduate courses. She is a member of IUP’s Jim’s Gym, volunteers her time to IUP’s Footlight Players and created a short film with IUP’s Student Film Association this spring. She enjoys attending sports, cultural, theater, and music events on campus. Ann Marie lives in Indiana with her four children and attends Hope Lutheran Church in Homer City, PA. She is excited about this opportunity to serve the students and staff of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

  • Mary Worley, Office Secretary

    Mary Worley will be the office secretary for the 2014-2015 school year. She is a fashion merchandising major and is very active with the IUP fashion association. She is an extremely hard-working student and has been with the Lutheran Campus Center for one semester. Mary is also the secretary for the IUP Equestrian team and has been actively involved with the IUP Chamber Singers. She is very eager to help with any problem that she can.

  • Doug Longwill

    Doug is a Grad student at IUP. He is pursuing a master’s degree in Educational Psychology with certification as a school psychologist. He previously graduated with honors from IUP with a B.A. in Psychology. Doug has been involved with the Lutheran Campus Center for 2 years and is very willing to help all of those that he can. Doug has been involved with the IUP Saxophone Studio, Jazz Band, and Jazz Ensemble, as well as the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and the Psi Chi International Honor Society in psychology.

  • Tedd Cogar

    Tedd wears many hats in Indiana, PA. He is a Student Conduct Officer for the University. He is also the University LGBTQIA Advocate working closely with the Pride Alliance and the University LGBT Commission. He also is a Recognized Campus Minister with the InterFaith Council. Tedd was ordained as pastor on March 17 of 2013. He is excited to help any and all students in the Lutheran Campus Center and across IUP's campus. Pastor Tedd is also a Safe Zone member.
